Join SMPS Boston to help fight hunger in Massachusetts through the annual Canstruction Boston event! In this design-build competition, teams from within the A/E/C community plan, design, and build structures made entirely out of canned goods. Structures will stay up for three weeks, raising awareness about hunger as the structures inspire and entertain the public. 

Interested in competing while helping people who are experiencing hunger? Participating teams should plan for a multi-day commitment:

·       Build day will be Saturday, October 21^st  8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

·       Deconstruction will be Saturday, November 11^th

The Canstruction Boston 2023 theme is Celebrating New England! Creations should depict the places, items, foods or personalities that make New England a unique and special place. Judges will award prizes to the finest competitors.

This year’s competition will once again benefit the Merrimack Valley Food Bank (MVFB) – which continues to experience increased demand – by raising awareness (and canned goods!) as well as funds. 

The competition is limited to the first 15 teams who sign up and pay the registration fee on this page, so don’t delay – sign up today!

Cancellation Policy: If you can no longer participate in the event, we will transfer your event registration fee to an event sponsorship recognition. No refunds will be made, since any proceeds from registration fees go directly to benefit the Merrimack Valley Food Bank.
