The Peer-to-Peer Coaching (P2PC) Network is a member-only benefit aimed at bringing members a more personalized and project-oriented coaching opportunity by connecting members that have faced similar challenges. For this P2PC, we will specifically focus on planning, managing, and executing impactful events. Led by Kelly Cohane, a seasoned, high-impact event planner, this event will provide hands-on experience and strategic guidance in developing events that build relationships, enhance brand visibility, and support business growth.

Participants will gain practical knowledge in coordinating industry conferences, client appreciation events, project milestone celebrations, and community engagement initiatives. The program focuses on aligning event objectives with firm marketing strategies, managing budgets, collaborating with technical teams, and maximizing ROI through thoughtful post-event follow-up and lead tracking.

With more than 30 years of experience in the AEC industry, Kelly Cohane has built her career at the intersection of brand strategy, relationship building, and high-impact event planning. As Marketing Manager at South Coast Improvement Company (SCIC) for the past two years, Kelly plays a key role in shaping the firm’s presence in the marketplace through thoughtful brand management, compelling storytelling, and the development of strategic client-facing events.

Kelly’s expertise extends well beyond traditional marketing. She is the driving force behind SCIC’s conferences, client events, internal gatherings, and community engagement initiatives, ensuring each event is aligned with business development goals, reflects the company’s brand, and strengthens client and partner relationships. Whether coordinating large-scale industry conferences or project groundbreakings and ribbon-cuttings, Kelly excels at creating experiences that foster meaningful connections and elevate SCIC’s reputation.

A deeply involved member of the SMPS Boston Chapter since 2002, she has served on the Board of Directors, chaired multiple committees, and continues to contribute as a member of the Special Events Committee. Her commitment to advancing the profession earned her the SMPS Boston Chapter’s 2018 Volunteer of the Year Award and the 2025 People’s Choice for the Boston Marketing Communications Award.
