Join SMPS Boston and Matter Communications for a virtual webinar exploring how brands can strengthen visibility across generative AI search and emerging discovery channels.

During this session, the Matter team will walk us through their new Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) framework — a cross-discipline approach spanning SEO, PR, content, and email that helps brands appear in AI-generated responses as buyer behavior rapidly evolves.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Reverse-engineer AI search patterns
  • Structure content for LLMs
  • Build digital authority through PR and third-party validation
  • Optimize websites for both human and AI audiences

This conversation will equip marketing, communications, and digital leaders with actionable steps to adapt now and stay competitive as search continues to shift toward zero-click, conversational experiences.

Speakers:

Josh Ford
Search Marketing Strategist, Matter

Josh is a Search Marketing Strategist with Matter, driving results on client projects that deal with both organic and paid search. He joined the Matter team a year and a half ago, with a heavy focus on in-platform work and developing the technical side of campaigns. Before coming to Matter, Josh held in-house positions in digital marketing and operations at companies in a myriad industries, spanning from healthcare to legal to entertainment. He also ran a boutique digital agency prior to the COVID-19 pandemic where he oversaw client relations in addition to his technical role. His curiosity, paired with test and learn approach around how to best optimize in this new AI world, has generated impressive results for clients at Matter.

Ethan Lyons
Search Marketing Manager, Matter

Originally starting as a copywriter for a smaller agency, Ethan Lyons later transitioned into search and has worked in the SEO & SEM space for 7 years. He’s worked with a variety of different B2B and B2C companies in the B2B tech, eCommerce, Retail, Food & Bev, Manufacturing, and Insurance industries. While specializing in search, he also helps clients with front-end development and implementing marketing analytics & attribution. Recently, Ethan has helped spearhead the launch of Matter's GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) services with the help of the broader PR, strategy, and media teams.
