Building on skills in Video Editing Basics with Adobe Premiere Pro, this 90-minute seminar will explore more advanced techniques of video editing to create a polished, professional deliverable suitable for socials or video streaming advertisements. Skills will include:

  • Understanding and implementing key frames for graphics and text
  • Working with music and adjusting audio levels on multiple audio tracks
  • Adding titles, simple animations, and motion graphics
  • Adding transitions and other effects
  • Inserting captions and sub-titles
  • Organization tips for your files
  • Adjusting speed, timing and slow-motion of your video
  • Using keyboard shortcuts to make you a faster editor
  • Color grading to match multiple video sources

Attendees who want to follow along with the exercise should have Adobe Premiere Pro installed on their computer.

This event will be worth 1.5 CEUs.

Speaker:

Phillip Quindara, Director of Marketing, CSArch

With 25 years of marketing communications experience, Phil leads the planning and execution of CSArch’s marketing communications and business development efforts. As Director of Marketing, he has modernized the firm’s visual identity while establishing them as an industry design leader. Phil manages the marketing staff in the creation of proposals, sponsorships, events, collateral materials, social media and website.

A self-taught photographer and FAA-licensed drone pilot, Phil is also taking a lead role in improving the firm’s use of in-house photography, video, and aerial drone video. Before working in the A/E/C industry, Phil spent 12 years gaining valuable marketing experience at Foote, Cone and Belding and Ogilvy & Mather, two internationally recognized advertising agencies in New York City. Phil was also a marketing manager for EYP’s energy practice.

Phil grew up on Long Island and graduated from SUNY Cortland. He spent 10 years living and working in New York City before getting married to his wife Kim, who eventually convinced him to move to the Capital Region to raise their two children, Katelynn and Jayden.  In his spare time, you’ll find Phil bike riding on the roads or through the mountain trails all over upstate NY. He loves playing electric guitar and wants to start either an 80's Pop or 90's Grunge cover band someday.
