What SMPS committees are you involved with, if any?
I am the 2023-2025 Director of Communications.
Why did you decide to join SMPS?
I was new to the AEC industry and was looking to learn and make connections.
What advice would you give to someone considering joining SMPS?
DO IT! Being a part of the SMPS community has propelled my career forward in so many ways. With so many professional development opportunities available through SMPS, my skillset has broadened and increased my confidence at work.
What do you work toward in your free time?
Home improvement projects whenever we can! We’re currently working on the backsplash in our kitchen.
What are you currently watching, reading, or listening to?
Lately, I’ve been putting on Netflix in the background while I’m cleaning or getting my steps in on the treadmill on a rainy day. It helps pass the time and make the task at hand not feel so boring! The two shows I have on rotation now are The Mole and The Ultimatum. Both are “reality” TV shows that require little effort to watch while doing something else. The Mole is a little cringy and The Ultimatum can be a little trashy at times, but I guess that’s what makes it entertaining, right?
