Imagine going into your next salary review armed with meaningful data. Data that’s relevant to the region you live in, the number of years of experience you have, your role and your benefits package. It turns a gut inspired “I think I should be making this” into a data-backed “this is what I should be making.”
Now, imagine you’re the person on the other side of the table. You have low turnover in your marketing department so you haven’t thought much about salary reviews other than the annual cost of living increase. But, you’re living in an employee driven market and you know the easiest way for your staff to get a significant pay raise is to jump ship and go to another firm. And, other firms are trying to recruit your marketing staff right now. You don’t want to lose a valuable staff member because they’re underpaid, but you don’t know what a competitive salary is in the marketplace. You need data.
For marketing salary data, one of the best resources is SMPS’ yearly salary survey, which is open now for participants. You can pay for the data, or you can participate in the salary survey and get the data for free or at a discount.
To entice you a little more, those who complete the survey by November 1 will be entered for a chance to win one of six $50 gift cards from SMPS.
