What SMPS committees are you involved with, if any?
Professional Development Committee
Why did you decide to join SMPS?
I wanted to join a group within the AEC industry for professional growth as well as meeting marketers and business developers within the same industry. I love the support and the knowledge gained through SMPS Boston and am excited to be a part of a committee to help members further their growth within the field.
What led you to working in the A/E/C industry?
I am drawn to a career that not only allows continuous learning, but also contributes to others' welfare. I started at an architecture firm that allowed me to see the depth of what this industry does; working on healthcare, environmental, or even energy proposals has demonstrated the vastness of the AEC industry, extending beyond simple building or transport design. This sector provides numerous opportunities to positively impact communities or protect crucial natural resources.
What do you work toward in your free time?
I work on trying to balance my work and personal life. Becoming a mom and working full time has brought some challenges. I think as a mom, we always want to give our children everything we are at all times. Finding that perfect balance has been a tricky thing to navigate, but I am extremely lucky to work for a company that pushes to help you balance it all.
What are you currently watching, reading, or listening to?
I am currently on book 15 of the James Patterson Women’s Murder Mystery Club and when the TV is not on Bluey or Paw Patrol, I try to fit in an episode or 2 of Suits.
