Millions of women left the job market to care for their children during the COVID-19 pandemic as schools and day cares closed to prevent the spread of disease. But the trend isn't new. Women left the workforce at higher rates than men did even before the pandemic, according to a research by the management consulting firm McKinsey and Co.
As a result, women’s participation in the workforce today is the lowest it has been in three decades, particularly for women of color.
Determined to help women succeed and thrive in work and in life by encouraging them to be self-sufficient, Dress for Success Worldwide organization was born in 1999.
